Overview
1
The existing application was built for internal operations, not commercial scale. Bringing it to market required new account infrastructure, district-level licensing, and AI capabilities — all while preserving the pedagogical quality that AlphaBEST's curriculum teams had refined over years. The rebuild needed to be comprehensive enough to support a commercial launch without being so large that it lost the focus that made the original product worth building on.

2
Sierra partnered with AB Studios to rebuild the foundational platform from the ground up. The new system includes administrative account setup and licensing for schools and districts, an AI conversion agent that automatically transforms educational scripts into structured lesson plans aligned to state standards, and a dynamic model toolchain that selects the right AI model based on content type for accuracy and consistency across subjects. The result is a web and mobile platform supporting multiple user roles and flexible content delivery, built to attract early adopters and scale.
3
• Rebuilt the core platform with account management, licensing infrastructure, and district-level administration from scratch. • Built an AI conversion agent that transforms raw educational scripts into standards-aligned lesson plans with a single action. • Designed a dynamic model toolchain selecting the appropriate AI model per content type for subject-specific accuracy. • Delivered web and mobile applications with embedded AI features supporting teacher, admin, and parent roles across device types.

4
AB Studios successfully launched the platform to early customers, giving educators the ability to go from script to standards-aligned lesson plan in one click while keeping teachers in control of the final output. Administrators gained visibility and automated reporting they had never had before. The platform is architected for rapid expansion to new districts and content types — establishing a commercial product from what had previously existed only as internal tooling.
